We extend a special welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, widowed, gay, filthy rich, comfortable, or dirt poor.

We extend a special welcome to wailing babies, fidgety children, excited toddlers, and the parent(s) who may be worried about them.

We welcome you whether you can sing like Pavarotti, just growl quietly to yourself, or suspect you may be tone-deaf. You’re welcome here if you’re “just visiting,” just woke up, or just got out of prison.  We don’t care if you think you’re a a better Christian than the Pope, or you haven’t been to church since Christmas a decade ago.

We extend a special welcome to those who are over sixty but not grown up yet, and to teens who are growing up too fast.  We welcome workout moms, football dads, starving artists, sportsmen (and sportswomen) tree-huggers, junk-food enthusiasts, vegetarians, and grill chefs.   We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted.  We welcome you if you are having problems, are just down in the dumps, or don’t like ‘organized religion.’  (Sometimes the best worship isn’t all that organized.  The Spirit blows where it will, and does what it sees best.)

We offer a welcome to those who think the earth is flat, whether you think it’s warming or cooling.  We welcome those who work too hard, can’t work, are done working, can’t spell, or are here with Grandma because she hates to miss church.

We welcome those who are pale, pigmented, and those who are inked, pierced, both, or neither.  We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer today, had religion shoved down their throats as kids, or are simply curious about God (How can you not be?)  We’re glad you’re here even if you were just looking around town - even for another church - or got lost trying to find the Riverwalk or a place to grab coffee or a meal.  (You might not have meant to come here, but God did.)  We welcome pilgrims & tourists, seekers & saints, doubters ... and YOU!
