Prayer Shawl Ministry
The mission of Kingston Presbyterian Church Prayer Shawl Ministry is to knit, crochet or quilt shawls or lap robes and anoint them with prayer. We share God’s love and promote physical and emotional healing by giving these shawls to persons in need of prayer, comfort or blessings.
Our Prayer Shawl Ministry meets every third Monday of the month at 6 PM in the Kingston Building. If you have not joined us, but have the heart to make the lives of others better by their feeling the warmth of God’s grace through the work of your hands, please join us. We pray that they (recipients) feel God’s peace when wrapped in their Prayer Shawl or Lap Robe and we are also blessed by that knowledge.
If you do not know how to knit or crochet, we have the supplies and some good teachers. We are in always in need of new members to keep up with the demand for Prayer Shawls.
Presbyterian Women is an organization open to all the women of Kingston Presbyterian Church. Currently, we have two sub-groups, which we call "Circles".
The "Evening Circle" meets on the first Monday after the first Sunday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Kingston Building on Third Avenue.
The "Morning Circle" meets on the first Tuesday after the first Sunday of each month at 10:00 AM in the Ladies Parlor, in the Church Office Building.
At our Circle meetings, we have time for food, fellowship, prayer, and Bible study. We support church, community, and worldwide mission projects.
We will be delighted to have you join us!
