Presbyterian Women
Presbyterian Women is an organization open to all the women of Kingston Presbyterian Church. Currently, we have two meeting groups, which we call circles. One meets on the first Monday after the first Sunday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Kingston Building. The other meets on the first Tuesday after the first Sunday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the Parlor.
The PW Leadership Team is composed of the following women:
Frances Dennis, Moderator
Sis Ramsey, Vice-Moderator
Teresa Hardee, Secretary
Donna Hazen, Treasurer
Peggy Burdiss, Historian
Frances Dennis, Leadership and Resources
Beth Werkhoven, Personal Faith and Family Life
Leslie Wilson, Mission Opportunities
Sara Frances Ropp, Christian Service
Cathy Newell, Christian Community Action
Elizabeth Marsh, Kitchen
At our circle meetings, we have time for food, fellowship, prayer, and Bible study. We support church, community, and worldwide mission projects. Currently, we are studying the PW Horizon’s Bible Study for 2016-17 called Who Is Jesus? by Judy Yates Siker. The study explores the life of Jesus according to the four gospels of the New Testament (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), Paul through his letters, Hebrews, the non-canonical gospels, other Abrahamic faiths, and contemporary cultural interpretations.
Our first meeting of the new year will be on Monday, January 9 at 6:30 p.m. or Tuesday, January 10 at 10:00 a.m. The lesson we will study is Lesson 4, “According to John.”
We will be delighted to have you join us!
